2012

JULY
The Month of July was excruciating in my poker hand opening cards in Texas Hold'em poker.  Receiving mixed cards off suit continually can be frustrating over a long period of time for any player.  I'm at lost to why there are streaks as this but through experience of playing discovered to keep my cool and fold the lousy cards and wait for the next deal.  I've learned to follow each draw to each hand to see how I would fare if staying in the hand.  However, when the cards are cold, they remain cold.

As bad as I make this month to look, I still converted a top prize in one tournament.  On 7-21-12 at poker site #14 in a freeroll tournament ended #1 out of 22 starting players taking home the top prize of 3 places paid.

Overall the disappointment was much the same at all 5 poker sites (#1, #2, #10, #12, & #14) as had entered a total of 21 tourneys for the month coming into the $$ in only 2 ( 9.52% ) and within 10 places in 4 other tournaments with at least 50 players.
JUNE
I, Thecliff, participate at 5 poker sites on the Internet and at present have an account balance in which 4 of the 5 sites also present a sportsbook, horse racing, & a casino.  I enjoy the gambling and have learned in my long career that to win you must have luck to go along with strategy.  Overall, I've been a huge loser, because the luck has been far from on my side.  In the past few years, I've learned the simple fact that I do not want to win a million dollars because I'd die.  With the accounts at these poker sites, the amounts are small as I make deposits of $20 to $25 at most and enjoy small wagering of up to $5 the tops.
As for poker, the game is texas hold'em and I only play in tournaments with small entry fees.
In the month of June played online poker at poker sites #1, #12, #2, #14, and #10 entering a total 34 coming into the $$ in 9 tourneys or 26.47% and ended on the bubble one time.
At poker site #10 on 6/13/12 I came in #28 out of 224 players winning back 138% of initial investment; on 6/17/12 I came in #29 out of 226 players receiving back 197.14%.
At poker site #2 came into the $$ in 5 of 11 tournaments, all small wins.
MAY
Monday, May 14 a day after Happy Mother's Day to all mothers of the world and the lovers of Internet poker.  I've joined several poker sites over the years and many have dropped USA participation because of laws produced by congress, however, several off shore sites still cater to participation of the USA and with each new site that I become a member, I label that site with a number.  I've been doing so for the sake of my blogging.
I just completed a tournament at poker site #10, a multi-table 9 seated, re-buy, no-limit, with late registration of 55 minutes.  I made the first hour through the late registration purchasing one re-buy and the add on entering the 2nd hour.  A total of 279 players were in this tourney and within fifteen minutes of the 2nd hour was knocked out of all my chips and ended 146th place.
